In this drawing i was commissioned, i was asked to enter a few characters of horror movies. Freddy Krueger of the movie series A nightmare on Elm street, Jack Torrance from The Shining, Chucky the killer doll from Child’s play movies and finally some zombies to decorate the cake. It was a job long enough, it took me three weeks to realize it but i’m satisfied with the result.

I don’t like so much self-portraits, but at the same time I like the pin up. So I tried to combine the two things together. I’m not afraid of needles and injections, but I think the drawing is fun and so I also bypassed the obstacle of my self-portrait, making it all very ironic and funny.

I’ve always been fascinated by the pin ups. In the past I have drawn some with the airbrush but i have never been fully satisfied. In this case I think I have managed to create a provocative subject but at the same time ironic and funny. The title of the drawing is inspired by a song of Rob Zombie, an artist that I really appreciate.

Californication is an American comedy-drama television series created by Tom Kapinos. The show debuted on Showtime on August 13, 2007 and follows New Yorker Hank Moody (David Duchovny), a troubled novelist who moves to California and suffers from writer’s block. His drinking and womanizing complicate his relationships with his longtime lover Karen (Natascha McElhone) and their daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin). Duchovny was born in New York City, New York in 1960. Duchovny appeared in an advertisement for Löwenbräu beer in 1987. The next year he appeared in two scenes in Working Girl (1988). He had a recurring role as a transvestite DEA agent on the series Twin Peaks and played the narrator and host in the long-running Showtime erotica/soft-core TV series Red Shoe Diaries. In 1992, he played the role of Rollie Totheroh, in the biographic film Chaplin, directed by Richard Attenborough, and based on the life of Charlie Chaplin. In 1993, Duchovny began starring in the science fiction series The X-Files as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder, a conspiracy theorist who believed his sister had been abducted by aliens. The show evolved into a cult hit and quickly became one of The Fox Network’s first major television hits. I really enjoyed doing this drawing, because I’m a fan of David Duchovny and because I like women’s asses.
